We love pets! Check On Me Online’s sensors only measure human behavior. We don’t try to measure things about the environment around your loved one to infer how they’re doing. So pets aren’t a problem and there’s no settings to make. We only use real time bio-sensors to measure life in the moment.
Yes. You can upgrade from our most basic system to our most capable and back down again with no contracts or fees. Mix and match commonly available athletics sensors to enhance your monitoring experience.

Our systems use non-medical athletic sensors for continuous heart rate monitoring. Accordingly, these sensors typically feature exceptional durability, long battery life, and reasonable prices compared to medical devices. They provide excellent accuracy for everyday use as well. They also do a great job at showing things like activity level and day-by-day activity trends. We have PPG (LED) based options and ECG based options.
Heart rate monitoring based Wellness Monitoring is for everyone, not just someone with health issues. The whole point behind the wellness monitoring is that we generate a visualization that our users learn to associate with a “good day” for a remote loved one. When that loved one is sick, or sometimes other issues of concern develop, the visualization changes to give our users a clue that something different is happening with their loved one.
We use professional athletics grade sensors that aren’t medical devices. That means our sensors aren’t designed for diagnosing or treating medical conditions. However, your heart is the ultimate high performance muscle and it can still tell us a lot with continuous monitoring. Heart rate changes when you’re active, sleeping, sick, scared, injured or excited. Accordingly, the system’s wellness visualization usually shows when something unusual is going on with your remote loved one. However, diagnosing a medical condition still requires medical equipment and a trip to your doctor.
It depends on what you’re looking for. For best accuracy and durability we like Scosche arm-band sensors because they use an additional yellow LED in the monitor that works better for darker complexions. These devices run for 9-10 hours before needing a recharge. These sensors are also discrete and can be worn under clothing. Scosche also has a long battery life version (24+ hours) available.
For best convenience and simplicity, we like the Wellue O2Ring. Just put it on to start monitoring and it runs for 14+ hours before needing a recharge.
Watch-like sensors like Polar A370 and MIO Alpha are popular options. These devices usually run 18-24+ hours before needing a recharge. Some of these sensors are more involved to own because they may require a mobile phone app for configuration. We like A370 better or accuracy and durability. We like Mio Alpha for it’s simplicity of use.
